Shane, an early-twentysomething from Baltimore, MD, has a habit of doing the impossible.
From surviving a stroke in the womb to graduating high school with a 4.0 when people said his learning disability would forever cripple him. Even down to getting signed as a model, despite being shorter than 5’11. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
What’s most impressive is that if you look deeper, beyond the muscles, tattoos, and handsome features, you’ll find something you’d never expect: the boy within the man that still believes in fearlessly giving and receiving love.
Now, that may seem very simple, but with all the pressure on men to fit within society’s limited ideas of masculinity, it’s nothing short of amazing. And with his supportive mom, Michelle, and his ride-or-die best friend, Melissa, Shane is pushing all of us to not only rethink what’s possible, but reimagine masculinity and what it means to be a man altogether. And he’s proving that men and women have a say in doing just that.
